What better way to spend a watercolour workshop than illustrating your favourite book? Good news: that is exactly the plan for this session.

Bring your favourite book, share your love for the story it tells, and illustrate it. I will teach you how to do real graphic research, from first idea all the way to the final illustration.

The hardest part of watercolour is being patient between layers. We will explore together how that same patience actually helps you build perspective and depth in your paintings.

We will also share our own stories, and what we each love about literature.

In short, we will have fun, without overthinking it and without any pressure to get a perfect result. You will leave with a bellyband made to measure for your favourite book, so remember to bring the physical book with you, it is essential to get the fit right and to display it at home afterwards, just like in a bookshop.

Bring nothing else besides your book, and your favourite brushes if you have some you would like to use.
